Spizz Energi Sunday 20th May

My guest today was Spizz.A true punk and a true gent. He has led a very colourful life and like many of my guests tells stories afterwards that you wish they would share on air! He had done so much homework for today. He had written a whole list out of tracks he wanted to play with length of each track and memories attached to them. He only lives round the corner from the studio and had come in his Spizz outfit which you can see in the picture. He really works hard in keeping Spizz world going. He wasn’t going to do a live set but then half way through the interview he decided he wanted to sing, so Lee quickly set up a mic when a song was playing and did a quick sound check. At the end of the show Spizz let rip and sang live in the studio. I love performers like Spizz as they absolutely give their all. Punk is so connected to Blues. Singing as if your live depends on it, the DIY ethos. Afterwards he introduced me to a great pub near by The Gladstone ,so we sat and had a few drinks. I will definitely have him back on as he shared some really interesting stuff with me afterwards that I am hoping he will chat about on air.
